Detective Robert Soto
Robert Soto
Father, Friend, Chicago Police Detective
Bobby was brutally murdered on 13 August 2008 at 0130 in the morning on the 3000 block of Franklin Blvd.

Bobby was a dedicated Chicago Police Officer and friend to everyone he met. He was always ready with a smile and a laugh and did not seek recognition or accolades. Bob could have earned many awards if he sought them, but as he told a family member, "That isn't why I do what I do." Following the tragedy of 9/11, Bob responded to assist brother NYPD Officers and victims in New York City. He will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

The Fraternal Order of Police has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the murderer of Chicago Police Detective Robert Soto. Combined with numerous smaller donations from Officers, private citizens and other sources, the total reward stands well over that amount.
